Love For Kids is so honored to have Alanna Sarabia as our Mistress of Ceremonies for our 9th Annual Palette to Palate fundraiser, Tropicana Cabaret- A Cuban Experience. We welcome you Alanna to the Love For Kids family, where “IT’S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS, NOW AND FOR THE LAST 44 YEARS”
Alanna Sarabia earned her B.A. in Electronic Media from Texas State University in 2011 and started her television career in San Antonio, TX. Somewhere in between, Alanna won Miss San Antonio and danced for the San Antonio Spurs as a Silver Dancer. She hung up her sash and pom-poms to focus on co-hosting San Antonio Living on WOAI-NBC, Daytime @ Nine on Fox 29-KABB, and host of the CW 35-KMYS as the "CW Insider". Today you can catch her interviewing local and national celebrities on Good Morning Texas on WFAA-ABC in Dallas, TX
Love For Kids, Inc. Annual Palette to Palate fundraiser, The Tropicana Cabaret – A Cuban Experience will be an event you do not want to miss! It will be an exciting night with an impressive display of local art, fabulous wine tastings and an array of restaurants serving their best culinary fare. Gas Monkey Live will be transformed into a legendary 40’s Cuban supper club, featuring dining and dancing and hot salsa music! Love For Kids, Inc. has been able to reach about 167,018 disadvantaged children, 38,913 special needs and chronically ill children and 55,170 in need seniors throughout Dallas, Denton and parts of Collin counties. Your support and participation will enable Love For Kids, Inc. to continue providing programming, resources and events that have served the community for the past 44 years.

Celebrity Chef Josh Harmon
Josh Harmon is a 2017 Eater chef of the year and tastemaker rising star nominee that loves creating his take on “progressive American" cuisine. Harmon’s background in culinary comes from New York restaurants as David Burkes’ Townhouse, Buddhakan in the Chelsea Market, and Le Cirque. His history in Dallas includes time at Steven Pyles James Beard nominated restaurant as well as Grace in Fort Worth. Josh has opened a critically acclaimed restaurant in “Deep Ellum” called Junction. There at Junction craft kitchen he won awards including Chefs For Farmers and was chosen as best southern restaurant in the DFW by the Dallas Observer. To add his impressive list of accompaniments, Josh has opened a sandwich shop called Butlers Cabinet that received best sandwich shop by Fort Worth magazine and is now running the food program at long time Dallas institute The Belmont Hotel.

Sabino aka "The Cigar Roller" has been entertaining guests with his cigar rolling demonstrations for over 15 years in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. His style is known at golf tournaments, corporate events, private events, local weddings, celebrity weddings -- Tony Romo, Sean Lee and Dirk Nowitzki and, this is his largest event to date, Super Bowl XLV.
The treasured tradition of Cuban hand-rolled cigars will be one of the highlights of the evening at The Tropicana Cabaret. Definitely do stop in to experience the expert presentation by Sabino in The Cigar Patio Lounge! Who knows…the spirit of Hemingway may appear while enjoying an excellent custom Cuban cigar and sipping smooth imported rum…one never knows who might venture into The Cigar Patio Lounge…

She has won the hearts of so many, because she gave so much of herself to help those in need in the community.
